State FAIR Plans & Residual Market Programs are state-created programs that may provide basic property insurance for homeowners who cannot obtain coverage in the private market—typically due to wildfire exposure, coastal wind risk, prior claims, or property condition. FAIR Plan insurance is known as the insurance of last resort and most plans require consumers to try the private market before applying. Below is a current directory of FAIR Plan (F) and Beach & Windstorm Plan (B) programs across the United States.
